Please view the exceptions to this policy at admissions.rutgers.edu/test-optional-faqs. Please note that the SAT/ACT scores ARE required for students applying to the 7-year BA/MD Rutgers-Newark program.

Rutgers 2022 Application Is Open & Test Optitonal!
The Rutgers 2022 application is available for you now. We are looking forward to helping you throughout your application process and have informative application workshops, Admissions info sessions and Financial Aid details to share with you. Our university has adopted a standardized tests optional policy for 2022 applicants. Due to the uncertainty of future test dates and availability of standardized tests, Rutgers will make submission of SAT and ACT test scores optional for students applying for spring or fall 2022 admission.
RU-N to the TOP Scholarship Program
City of Newark Students: Find out if you qualify for the university's Rutgers University–Newark Talent and Opportunity Program scholarship for undergraduate students who are residents of the city of Newark and or a NJ County College Transfer student with an associate's degree.
